While most hip young people were masturbating to comics by Tamaoki Benkyou back in the early 21st century, I was eating through my family’s collection of Chef Boyardee from post-Y2K scare like crazy and accumulating needless amounts of energy that I needed to waste on something… anything. It was actually 4 years after that when I of course stumbled across TAGRO-sensei. more…

So my friend laharl was kind enough to send a message my way that he’s discovered a software developer in Japan called minori, that has banned foreign ISPs from stealing the dirty images off their site. If you didn’t know, the Japanese version of Congress –something called diet pepsi– is going over or has already passed some new legislations that ban adult games from having any of the following: loli, schoolgirls, orgies, tentacles, guro, rape, beastiality, incest and everything else you’ve masturbated to for the past ten years. If you’re one of the few people that can still access that page without the use of proxies, then by all means feel free to go ahead and browse through their lineup of… well they don’t really have anything do they?
Let’s be honest here, who are they trying to fool? If you ask me, I think it’s a publicity stunt. Their games, as far as I remember, are below mediocre and spend quite a bit of time around an area called boring as shit. I see no other reason for them to block foreigners from seeing the terribly offensive school girl outfits and other generic gimmicks that make up the majority of their shitty titles. So of course, are they really in a position to be attempting this? Yes. If there is an ulterior motive behind it, something I like to consider jumping on the political bandwagon. I notice search queries for minori games on certain p2p’s are going up, and if internet averages are a microcosm of the world then this whole stunt may be proving beneficial for these guys.
Anyways, it seems minori isn’t the only one to try this… But why does it seem like only people that have developed really boring games like Wind ~a breath of heart~ are the ones who have the audacity to say, “go away foreigners”? I mean as far as I know, most of the software developers whose games I actually enjoy still have their traffic open for raping by foreign devils; and as far as I give a shit, this suits me just fine.
In more important news, Ed McMahone, Michael Jackson, and Farrah Fawcett all died today. It is also coincidently my sister’s birthday. So without further ado, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SIS!
I’m extremely late on this one. So, I just found out yesterday that the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra got involved with some bad crowd and is the talk of the intrusive otaku culture. Little did I know that they were referring to Haruhi music. So I did a simple torrent search, and sure enough there it was. Not one to be fooled, I decided to download the album and sample it — before purchasing of course. Nothing wrong with that. Don’t judge me. I can’t be a straight shooter all the time. I’m only human.
Now where was I? Oh yes, well, Aya Hirano sucks at singing. Good night.
If you’re not convinced by my convincing argument, go right ahead: buy it and listen for yourself. Granted, the orchestral parts were pretty impressive, but I’m assuming my slight infatuation with the Suzumiya Haruhi bandwagon is biasing my good taste. I’d suggest downloading the FLACs buying the CD, hooking up a cheap ATH-HA20 or Hartmann’s to your computer or player, and borrowing a pair of Kenwood KH-K1000 to listen to the classical instruments completely ruined by anime pop; and just when you think it can’t get any worse Aya Hirano’s vocal seals the deal.
In other news, South Carolina’s governor admits to infidelity. But nine out of 17 Republicans agree, it’s still not quite as bad as Aya Hirano’s singing.
Japanese Lesson For Today: gen – sou, ‘gen’ means a bowstring or chord and ‘sou’ appears to be a type of pastry. Wait, this doesn’t seem right. Oh there we go, I was on the wrong line. It’s to play music.
I recently got banned from a forum I was trolling. I won’t name which one, but if you were reading scanlation back in 2001, then you’ve probably heard of them. This was the goal from the start, of course, but I nearly ran 300+ posts on the forum before they got around to doing so. And now seeing the message that I’ve been punted to the winds fills me with this deep emptiness unlike any broken vinyl or Bob Marley album. more…
Well it seems it has been a long time since my last post. A few days ago I thought I should get off my bum and write something and as I said way back when, my next post would be about the super cute show Ichgo Mashimaro Encore OVA 2 and so it is. On a slightly more personal note it seems i’m kinda losing my interest in anime. Mabye it’s just i’m not following more than 2 shows, 1 of which finishes this week. I’ll miss you K-ON!. So in an attempt to help spark this back up again here the latest (subbed) OVA there is. This one has a few stories packed into it like all the episodes and if you have read the manga, then you should be able to remember where they all came from. This isn’t so much a review like I normaly do but rather just a gallery from the episode and my random thoughts on it.
So I recently bought a JVC HA-RX900 because it was pretty cheap and it looked comfy. Well, for 60 bucks, it’s not a bad headphone, but not very practical. The cord was extremely long, which I assume is because these headphones are meant for people who live in small houses and want to take walks to the local park without carrying an iPod or Zune. more…
