SquareEnix announced Soul Eater: Monotone Princess for the Nintendo Wii. Of course by SquareEnix because the manga publisher GanGan is apart their company. The first and new Soul Eater game will be an action role playing game where the Wii remote controls your scythe. First images of the game are featured in Japan’s April Famitsu magazine. No release date set yet, sadly.

Episode one starts of with Shibusen, the school run by Shinigami prevent Kishin from returning and to take out the people who transform into an Egg of Kishin. Students come in pairs or trios where you normally have the master and the weapon. The weapon must eat 99 human souls and 1 witch soul to become a true Shinigami, the goal of the students who attend Shibusen. Wonderful animation for a shounen series, including good use of blur and good angles during action. The voice acting could be better, as Maka’s dad is pretty annoying. Especially when he’s crying or confidently laughing.
Soul Eater starts out much like the manga. The same foul human eating human souls is slayed. The same witch is a not a witch. Too bad you have to start over collecting souls if you mess up by eating one that isn’t a human or witch. Perhaps they’re taken away by the students to make sure only the best become a Death Scythe or Shinigami. One thing though, there is a scene where Soul is dressed up in front of a piano. Perhaps that’s when he first partnered with Maka. If you prefer your anime much like the manga, this will suit your needs if you’re already ten volumes deep into the manga. Otherwise, one or the other. Black Star will be the main attraction in episode two.

Gallery features his latest work and his web comic many of the same characters. The style of most of the work is similar to the SquareEnix Nintendo DS game The World Ends With You. Or is it called It’s a Wonderful World or maybe Subarashiki. Eitherway, the artist knows that, which explains the one illustration of the game’s Rhyme. She’s actually a girl. Hope that didn’t spoil anything.
Unique style and having a comic to go along, it’s worth bookmarking for future updates. You have to since the site doesn’t have a domain and isn’t indexed on Google. If Anime Gerad had a translation team, there’d be scripts to the dialogue and sounds in English.
The official site of the movie is now online at gurren-lagann-movie.net
With the release of the site comes production information, the official name, and the release date. The release being September 06, 2008. My birthday.
WebClap.com is a Japanese site that offers a special download that you can add to your website. Basically it’s a feature that a user can click showing they like the site, then allows them to enter text. You can then analyze how many many claps you get when and what they liked about the site. The idea was to replace having to put up your email or adding a forum for such. Perfect for a blog, illustration, or personal graphic site. Many anime illustration and 4 panel manga sites use it.
You can also customize the page that they thank you on. There you would likely have an image telling them thanks. There’s a free and paid version, the paid giving a tiny bit more freedom. Other features include email forwarding, IP tracking, and word filtering in where the message is rejected. You can also have Web clap created and hosted by Webclap.com with the parent site SimpleCGI.
A new movie for the Eureka 7 anime has been announced. Expect similar staff like director, animation, and character designs. Same main characters, new mythos. Guess they mean story and adventure.
