It blows. What else can I say?

I literally dragged three of my buddies to go watch this movie with me so I wouldn’t feel so foolish going alone, and all I could wish was for it to end as soon as possible. The CG and action was great, don’t get me wrong. But I didn’t even like the first movie, so what made me think that this was going to be good anyways?

This movie kind of made up for the fact that the first movie lacked action by being nothing but action. What little story there was present is hidden underneath layers of heavy CGI and military gimmicks which make life just that much harder for me to live through. There were nothing but lame jokes, apparently to appease the first graders sitting in the front rows.

There was a hot girl and the only role she played was eye candy. 75% of the movie “featuring” Megan Fox was of her ass. I assume she plays an integral part of the story progression since she did end up taming the Decepticon that ultimately led them to the old fart who knew everything. Still, they could have done this in a number of other ways, and they didn’t. What was with the cube sliver? Where did it go in the end? If Megatron can be revived with a simple shard, then couldn’t Optimus as well? Did that thought ever cross anyone’s mind? In any case, main boy dies and comes back, Optimus dies and comes back… lame.

This movie was lame. Michael Bay hasn’t produced a good film since The Rock and Bad Boys.

Well it seems it has been a long time since my last post. A few days ago I thought I should get off my bum and write something and as I said way back when, my next post would be about the super cute show Ichgo Mashimaro Encore OVA 2 and so it is. On a slightly more personal note it seems i’m kinda losing my interest in anime. Mabye it’s just i’m not following more than 2 shows, 1 of which finishes this week. I’ll miss you K-ON!. So in an attempt to help spark this back up again here the latest (subbed) OVA there is. This one has a few stories packed into it like all the episodes and if you have read the manga, then you should be able to remember where they all came from. This isn’t so much a review like I normaly do but rather just a gallery from the episode and my random thoughts on it.

Opera has just announced a fairly huge new feature in their new version of their web browser. You can host sites and files from your computer and browser easily. Of course you’d have to have your computer and Opera running for it to work, but it’s easy and free.

Even though you have to create an account of sorts to get urls, Opera claims there is privacy. That’s actually the point of this. We all know how so many of us anime and manga fans download illegally and legally. I wonder if the developers of Opera are counting on this to be abused in order to make the browser popular or if there’s a way to report abuse. Either way this will be used for images or…media. Hope you have a fast net connection.

Nickelodeon’s American animation Avatar: The Last Airbender was set to have an American live action movie titled The Last Airbender. The first images have been unleashed on the Internet and here’s our hero Aang.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is seen as anime by many and was claimed to be the first American made anime. It’s clearly inspired, but if it is or not is up to you. The series is an action adventure with a few cultures that are separated by elemental power differences that can cause wars and battles. Movie set to come out early/mid 2010. USA Today the magazine and site is the source of this revealing.

This just in, the much awaited 2nd season of Haruhi will indeed air this year. A few weeks ago it was revealed that the 1st season will reair in april. Of course this caused quite a bit stir in fans and many, including myself, thought “well they the hell make an announcement leading us to believe you were airing season 2 this april?”. It seems they had a plan all along and according to reports, season 2 will begin after the airing of the 1st season. In otherwords Haruhi season 2 airs in july. So unless there is a report further down the track declairing otherwise, mark it on your calanders… Haruhi season 2 in july

On the website for CNN’s TIME magazine, 4chan.org’s owner moot is currently holding #3 as the world’s most influential people on the finalist list for 2009. Voting is still open and surely the army of 4chan isn’t going to take anything less than top. It would be an interesting turn of events to have moot on the front page of a magazine of readers who don’t know who he is. This will just add even more new people to visit the site as people who see the list wonder who he is. You can see the full list or vote here.
