I was organizing my closet today and I stumbled upon volume five of Shoujo Fight. I was practically estatic as I had finished reading volume four about two months ago. I wasn’t aware I owned more. My happy schoolgirl squeals made it hard for me to read more than a few pages at a time, but once my spasms died down I just lay on my bed staring at the pretty cover.

 There’s something about that bowl cut and those eyebrows that get my harmones running in full gear. I just feel sorry for the unlucky fools who ordered the limited edition and got stuck with Michiru.

Nice shorts, though.

There was some notable events in this volume. First you learn that Atsuko’s stepmom was in fact one of Ooishi Mari’s team mates in high school. It seems she’s got a grandpa fetish and gets off on Atsuko’s hate for her. Scary woman. She also notes that Odagiri Manabu, the worst player on the team “looks like she’s going to get as strong as Mari”. That same night Kokuyodani’s headmaster gets hit on by Hakuunzan’s headmaster, and she refuses him because he’s a pedophile. So cute. Gosh, I love this series.

If you haven’t been keeping up with this manga then you can just ignore this post. It’s not that great, but the girls are attractive in that Nihonbashi way; and I let the smallest part of my brain usually do the thinking for manga.
